There are many beautiful rooms in the Alcazar. The coffered ceilings are painted with gold leaf and decorated in Turkish themes.

 

            

There are many extraordinary stained glass windows and sets of armor inside the Alcazar

 

            

 

                        

This is a view out of one of the windows of the Alcazar. The surrounding countryside is pasture land dotted with  churches, monasteries, farms and villages. Segovia has one of the prettiest plaza mayors, even in winter. It is dominated by the cathedral and shops, restaurants and bars fill the streets radiating out from this plaza.
